South Cariboo Elizabeth Fry Society (SCEFS) in Ashcroft, BC is one of several Elizabeth Fry societies throughout Canada named in honour of an historic British woman who in the early 1800s spearheaded prison reform for female inmates and their families, along with many other humanitarian changes for less fortunate.

From our office in Ashcroft, SCEFS offers valuable services and programs to several First Nations bands and rural communities in southern interior BC that support, educate and empower individuals and families. The Family Support Worker position is one of the ways in which we provide service.

Things that an FSW can help with are:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Parenting
  • Relationships
  • Communication
  • Problem solving
  • Goal setting
  • Problem solving and guidance
  • Access to resources and information

Office Hours in Ashcroft are Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm

Clinton office hours are every second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Clinton Library Board Room from 9:30am to 3:00pm
