Parenting Supports and Programs


The South Cariboo Elizabeth Fry Society (SCEFS) in Ashcroft serves five small communities and several First Nations Bands in the Southern Interior of BC. We are a not-for-profit society offering many services and programs designed to support and empower families, and to strengthen community.

Because our catchment area is primarily rural with long distances between communities, SCEFS strives to offer ways in which women and their families can build strong support networks that will have a life outside of any one organization or service. Our programs for parents are a key to success in enhancing the level of health and well-being between generations.

Parents can access parenting supports on an individual basis from our Family Support Worker. When funding allows, we also provide parenting programs to groups. We recognize the power of healing and support that can come from parents sharing and learning from one another in groups. The following are parenting programs offered by SCEFS from time to time:
