Kal Tire is Teaming Up with the South Cariboo Elizabeth Fry Society to Fill The Ashcroft Food Bank

The South Cariboo Elizabeth Fry Society is excited to team up with Kal Tire in Cache Creek for a Food Drive to fill the Food Bank! As you know, the Food Bank here in Ashcroft provides food for individuals and families in need in the catchment area including Cache Creek, Spences Bridge, and Walhachin. Your donations go directly to helping others! Here are some details about the promotion with Kal Tire.

Kal Tire in Cache Creek is offering $5 off of your bill when you take non-perishable food items to their location! The offer will be good until November 30th 2019. At the end of the promotion, Kal Tire will be tallying up all of the $5 donations from discounted invoices, then they will donate that amount to the Food Bank as well! We encourage you to head over to Kal Tire if you want to help out!

At this time of year we all need to switch to winter tires, so it’s a perfect opportunity for you to head over and donate some non-perishable food items while you change tires. They are open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 5pm.

Some items we’re looking for on our Food Bank shelves include:

-Cereal, Granola, or instant Oatmeal
-Peanut Butter, Granola bars
-Canned Meat besides Tuna or Canned Meals
-Shampoo/Conditioner, body lotions, disposable razors
-Toilet paper and Diapers

All of your donations will be happily accepted by the team at Kal Tire – and likewise by our team when they arrive here at the Food Bank. Please make sure that any donated items are not damaged and have not exceeded their best before dates. This way we will be the most effective in helping out our community!

We’re grateful for Kal Tire’s help with the Food Drive this year. We are an organization that believes in supporting our community, so we highly value anyone’s willingness and ability to team up with us. If you have any questions about this promotion or would like to volunteer at the Food Bank as the weather is cooling down, give our Ashcroft office a call!
